PGWP

Overview

A Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is an open work permit. It allows eligible international students who have completed a program from a PGWP-approved institution to continue their stay in Canada for up to 3 years. PGWP is designed to provide international graduates with valuable Canadian work experience, which can potentially help them qualify for Canadian permanent residency through various immigration pathways.

Eligibility

  • Legal Status in Canada
  • Must have completed a program of study at a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada
  • The program should have been at least eight months in duration
