PNP
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals for permanent residence based on their specific economic and labour market needs. Each province has its own criteria, targeting skills, experience, and qualifications that are in demand within the region. PNPs are an attractive option for candidates who may not meet the CRS cutoff for Express Entry but have the skills and experience that align with a particular province's needs. Through the PNP, candidates can either apply directly to the province or, in some cases, use the Express Entry system to receive a provincial nomination, which gives them an additional 600 points in the CRS, effectively guaranteeing an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
